RESOURCES
I added this page to my site so that students and non-students alike, could find help with their mental illnesses. One of the scariest things about having a mental illness is the feeling that you are alone but you're never alone. Below is the contact information for students who have mental illness (or other disabilities) going to both Western Michigan University and Michigan State University. I have also included resources for veterans who are suffering from PTSD (I know many veterans who are students but they help all veterans, not just students). If veterans can put their lives on the line to protect us, the least we can do is be there for them when they come back and may be suffering from mental illnesses due to tragedies they have witnessed and endured. There are additional sources that help students with mental illnesses find advocates to help them with anything they may need such as: finding counseling, paying for counseling, locating treatment centers, someone to speak with when they may be having suicidal thoughts, etc. You are never alone, you are not crazy, you are sick, and the resources below are there to help you.
